DIRECT INVESTMENTS IN UK PRIVATE COMPANIES
The acquisitions we structure are funded by High Net Worth individuals and offer exceptional investment opportunities in established, profitable and ambitious companies.
HIGH-QUALITY INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

At High Wood Capital we specialise in identifying the best acquisition opportunities in small, established, UK private businesses which are funded by HNW investors seeking exceptional risk-adjusted returns.

We target one to two acquisitons per year from the hundreds we assess.

PROFESSIONALLY DILIGENCED AND STRUCTURED

20+ years of SME investment experience backup our professional due-diligence and bespoke structuring for each opportunity.

ALIGNMENT WITH INVESTORS

The owners of High Wood Capital make a material personal investment into each acquisition we work on. This creates an alignment with investors through incentivisation when things go well and capital (and reputation) at risk if things don’t.

ACTIVE MANAGEMENT APPROACH

As well as making a personal investment in each acqusition, Andrew Stubbs will take a non-executive Board position to help drive value, ensure close monitoring and provide controls to help protect all shareholders interests right through to exit.

Where investors are interested in more involvement, management teams are usually very receptive. Bringing to bear the broad range of expertise in the investor base can make a valuable contribution to the success of the business and outcome for all stakeholders.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

High Wood Capital acts exclusively for the acquisition vehicle established to facilitate managment buy-outs, retirement sales or partial sales. High Wood Capital does not act for, nor provide investment advice to investors.

Investments into privately held small businesses are only intended for certified high net worth investors, professional investors and family offices. This type of investment opportunity is high risk and speculative and should only be considered by investors who have sufficient experience to select their own investments, make their own investment decisions and understand the high risks involved.

Investors considering particpiating in investments in privately held small businesses should also consider the following:

-
Investing places your capital at risk and you may not get back the full amount invested. Investments may fall as well as rise in value and there is no guarantee of investment returns.

-
The investment yield, dividends or interest returns quoted, will only be made if the company has sufficient funds to do so. Past performance and forecast performance are not a reliable indicator of future investment performance.

-
These investments are also illiquid and are not readily realisable or easily transferable until the exit point which is typically targeted at between 3 and 5 years, but could be longer. You should only invest if you can afford to do so and as part of a diversified investment strategy.

-
Tax treatment depends on your personal circumstances and tax rules may change in the future. You should seek advice from a professional and qualified tax specialist, should you require it.
